Franca loves teaching piano and accordion to children and adults from all walks of life.  She is classically trained on piano since childhood, and piano was her major at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Prior training was with Syracuse University Professor Emeritus William Goodrum, who had studied with renowned Chilean pianist Claudio Arrau. Arrau was a pupil of Martin Krause, who had been a pupil of Franz Liszt.

Franca’s goal with each student is to build note-reading, technique, interpretation, and theory, while also focusing on the type of music that piques the student's interest. Franca also makes sure that students have fun. She is serious about music and about having fun while you learn.

Franca studied accordion with Walter Kuehr, owner of New York’s Main Squeeze accordion shop. He taught her technique and musicianship, and was a dear friend and mentor. Since Walter’s passing, Franca has taken on several of Walter’s former students, and passing on his knowledge brings her great joy.

Franca has deep experience as a classical pianist and accompanist, and she has also played the piano and accordion as an actor/musician in multiple off-Broadway and regional theatre productions. This makes Franca uniquely qualified to explore performance as a solo musician and collaborator with her students.
